Physical Therapist Assistant Job in Caldwell, TX

CHI St Joseph Health Burleson Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a travel position in Caldwell, TX. This is a full-time role running Monday through Friday, 5x8 shifts. You'll work either 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no weekend or on-call requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

• Float between inpatient and outpatient settings, approximately 80% inpatient and 20% outpatient depending on census or preference
• Treat approximately 7 treatment hours per day
• Work with inpatient and outpatient cases including SNF, acute, acute rehab, skilled, and outpatient patients
• Common diagnoses include general, wounds, ortho, neuro, debility, fractures, orthopedic injuries, neck pain, and a small percentage of neurological cases and amputations
• May be asked to precept as needed
• Complete charting in MEDITECH

Requirements:

• Texas and national PTA license required
• Inpatient and outpatient experience required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Wound care experience preferred but not required

What to Know:

• No acutely ill patients at this campus; specialized cases are referred to sister facility
• Brief department-specific orientation provided
• Maroon scrubs required and are not provided

Compensation & Duration:

Weekly pay: $1,400. Assignment duration: 84 days. Start date: September 28, 2026.
