ED RN Job in Colorado Springs, CO

St. Francis Hospital in Colorado Springs is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,149.

Shift and Schedule

• 3x12 rotating shifts: 1:00 PM–1:00 AM or 3:00 PM–3:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement or equivalent of 6–9 weekend shifts within a 6-week scheduling period
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
• Holiday requirements apply
• On-call or standby requirements as determined by Nurse Manager

Clinical Responsibilities

• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4
• Treat 75+ patients per day in a fast-paced emergency setting
• Common presentations: abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, extremity pain
• Administer cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation, and analgesic drips
• Work with respiratory therapy equipment including ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Floating within Zone 1 may be required in cases of extreme need

Facility Features

• Fast Track, separate triage area, holding area, and dedicated psych/seclusion rooms
• 24/7 in-house security stationed in the ER
• X-ray and CT available in the ER
• Lab draws shared between phlebotomy and RNs
• EPIC charting system
• Navy blue scrubs required

Requirements

• Active RN license; BSN not required
• Current ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), ENPC or PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications
• Reside within 60 miles of facility; driver's license submission required
• Must be in state for orientation week
