CVOR Technologist Surgical Tech Job in Houston, TX

Join CHI St Lukes Health - Baylor St Lukes Medical Center as a Surgical Tech in our Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR). This 91-day travel assignment offers you the opportunity to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment with a team of approximately 25 surgeons.

Position Details

• Shift: 4x10 rotating schedule with all shifts available and 24/7 in-house coverage
• Weekly pay: $2,431
• Start date: September 21, 2026
• No floating requirements
• Hospital provides scrubs

Clinical Environment

You will work in a 12-suite CVOR handling approximately 20 cases per day. Your responsibilities include scrubbing in on complex cardiovascular procedures including CABG, MVR, AVR, kidney transplants, robotics, peripheral vascular, thoracic, aortic repair, vascular access, hybrid procedures (TEVAR/EVAR, TAVR), Impella, IABP, and ECMO.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of cardiovascular scrub experience
• Ability to go "on bypass"
• General OR knowledge to work effectively with any surgeon
• BLS Certification (required)
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA (required)

On-Call Expectations

Weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call requirements apply. You must meet a mandatory 30-minute response time for call/standby situations.

Support Provided

Department-specific orientation will be provided. The facility uses EPIC for charting. You will work in a collaborative surgical team environment with established protocols and no floating to other departments.
