PCU RN Job in Tucson, AZ

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at BUMC Tucson, providing skilled nursing care to medical-surgical patients, SNF and LTAC transfers, and end-of-life care patients. This is a travel position lasting 89 days, starting September 14, 2026.

Schedule & Pay

• 3x12 hour day shifts per week
• $2,582.10 weekly pay

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with organizational policies
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural factors, and discharge planning needs
• Formulate and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide direct patient care, coordination, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team activities
• Document all nursing interventions and patient responses accurately and timely
• Participate in patient and family education
• Float to other med-surg or PCU units as needed with unit-appropriate assignments

Required Qualifications

• Current valid RN license
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience required
• Two years of PCU experience
• Experience in specialty area within the past 12 months
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations
