PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

RN - PICU

Job Details:

• Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 48-hour guarantee per week
• 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio for critical care
• 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule
• Work in a 10-bed Pediatric Cardiac ICU partnering with the PICU
• Cardiac Critical Care experience greater than 2 years required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and PALS
• Preferred skills include peritoneal dialysis, CRRT skills, and ECMO bedside experience
• Perform post-operative care including inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions, IVF and chest tube management, and care of post-sternotomy/open chest patients
• Administer moderate sedation
• Work with Phillips monitors, Med Fusion, and Baxter pumps
• Use Meditech EMR system
• Day shift includes 1 Charge RN with volume-based staffing
• Serve the congenital cardiac population including medical neonates and cardiac patients
• Utilize specialized equipment including centrimag, Prismax, and Arctic Sun
