RN - Tele

Job Details:

• Day shift position working 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 13-week assignment
• Every other weekend required, depending on staffing needs
• No on-call requirements
• Float to similar or lower acuity unit as needed
• Specialty focus on Heart & Vascular Recovery caring for patients pre- and post-cardiac procedures including cardiac cath lab, electrophysiology, and vascular patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4-1:5 on day shift
• 8-bed unit caring for critically ill cardiac patients including post procedural cardiac patients and STEMI post care
• Utilize nursing process to provide patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Maintain professional accountability for patient care and coordinate with ancillary departments
• Monitor and coordinate patient care activities to optimize patient care and comfort
• Experience with TR bands and pulling sheaths preferred
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm identification and recognition of cardiac emergencies required
• 2 years of stepdown or ICU cardiac experience required
• Missouri RN license required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA only
• Equipment used: General monitoring and EKG
• EMR system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Black with closed-toe shoes required
