ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• Work in a General Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:4 across days, nights, and weekends
• 8-10 weekend shifts required per 6-week scheduling period, including Friday, Saturday, or Sunday
• Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit
• No on-call required
• Regular floating may be required between ED Hold area, departments, units, and facilities as needed
• Block scheduling not available
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility
• Minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
• Daily census of approximately 50 patients across 12 rooms
• Patients include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Occasional OB patients requiring management of mother/baby until transferred out
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Preferred certifications: CPI, MAB
• Kansas and Missouri license or compact license required at time of submission
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required skills: Cardiac monitoring and management of dysrhythmias, management of patient with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, CPAP/BiPAP management, care of ventilated patients, isolation precautions, and triage
• Preferred skills: STEMI certified facility experience, stroke certified facility experience, interpretation of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, and interpretation of ABGs
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
