PCU RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit at Banner Estrella Medical Center, located at 9201 W Thomas Rd in Phoenix, AZ. This is a 3x12 day shift position with an 89-week duration, starting January 11, 2027.

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for PCU patients
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments addressing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and developmental needs
• Develop individualized care plans using assessment data and patient/family input
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Implement care plans through direct patient care, delegation, and supervision of healthcare team members
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising plans as needed
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in patient records per policy standards
• Participate in research activities, shared leadership, and staff education
• Provide supervision and direction to licensed and non-licensed personnel

Your Qualifications

• Current valid RN license in state of practice or compact RN licensure
• BLS certification required
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience
• Experience in acute care setting within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in specialty area
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and respond quickly to patient care needs
• Standard precautions compliance due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids
• Must maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to work area
