Respiratory Therapist Job in Wausau, WI

Aspirus Wausau Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week travel contract. You will work 3x12 night shifts (6:30 PM to 7:00 AM) with 36 guaranteed hours per week and earn $2,532 weekly.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Perform basic respiratory care, critical care, and ventilator management across all patient care areas
• Conduct patient assessments using Assess and Treat Protocols
• Care for patients of all age groups, including pediatrics
• Provide emergency services for Rapid Response and Code Blue situations
• Float throughout the hospital, including emergency department and general care areas; may float to other central locations with advance notice
• Manage equipment including V60 BiPAP, Hamilton G5 and C1, and iStat
• Document in EPIC

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of respiratory therapy experience; pediatrics experience required
• NICU experience preferred for night shift positions
• Previous travel healthcare experience required
• NBRC RRT certification required; NBRC CRT accepted if RRT obtained within one year
• Active Wisconsin license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required; Advanced NRP preferred
• AHA or ARC certifications required
• Associate degree or certificate in respiratory therapy

Additional Information:

• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Contractors must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Dress code: closed-toed shoes, scrubs any color, clean appearance; no smoking or scent allowed; piercings per policy
