CVICU RN Job in Sun City, AZ

You will provide direct patient care in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Banner Boswell Medical Center, located at 10401 W Thunderbird Boulevard in Sun City, Arizona. This is a 3x12 night shift position with an 89-day contract beginning September 14, 2026. You will earn $2,434 per week.

In this role, you will assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards. Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs, as well as discharge planning requirements
• Reviewing patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, and reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulating and implementing individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical direction
• Delegating and supervising activities of health care team members, including licensed nurses and support personnel
• Evaluating patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
• Documenting assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record
• Participating in unit and facility shared leadership initiatives
• Contributing to the education, role development, and orientation of staff, patients, and families
• Precepting and mentoring staff to support professional growth when appropriate

You must be willing to float between Boswell and Del Webb campuses as needed, with Boswell serving as your primary campus. A varied work schedule is part of this assignment.

Required qualifications: Current, valid RN license in Arizona; minimum one year of experience in an acute care hospital setting, with experience in the CVICU specialty area within the past 12 months; BLS certification. A Bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred.
