Job Details:

• Varied work schedule including weekends, holidays, and float per department guidelines
• Minimum of 2 years of CVICU experience preferred with focus on direct open-heart recovery
• Experience with Impella and Balloon pumps strongly preferred
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care in accordance with professional nursing practice standards
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data and report abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and medical plan of care
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise activities of the health care team to implement the plan of care
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluations accurately and in a timely manner in the patient record
• Participate in shared leadership, education, and mentoring of facility personnel, patients, students, and families
• Must possess a current, valid RN license in state of practice
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of one year experience in an acute care hospital setting required, with experience in the specialty area within the past 12 months
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
