CVICU RN Job in Glendale, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center in Glendale, Arizona. This is a travel position with a duration of 89 days, starting December 7, 2026. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week at a weekly rate of $2,446.20.

In this role, you will provide direct patient care and clinical leadership in cardiovascular intensive care. Your responsibilities include:

• Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized plans of care for patients with varied cardiovascular conditions
• Completing comprehensive patient assessments addressing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and developmental needs
• Documenting all assessments, interventions, and evaluations in patient records
• Coordinating care and delegating tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Maintaining clinical competencies specific to cardiovascular intensive care
• Floating to support units as needed

Requirements:

• Current valid RN license in the state of practice
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Acute care experience within the past 12 months as a registered nurse in a specialty setting
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Weekend and holiday rotation is required for this position. A bachelor's degree and professional certification are preferred. You will be part of a healthcare team dedicated to providing quality cardiovascular critical care.
