CVICU RN Job in Glendale, AZ

You'll work as a registered nurse in the cardiovascular intensive care unit at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, located at 5555 W Thunderbird Road in Glendale, Arizona. This is a travel nursing assignment with a contract duration of 89 days, starting November 9, 2026.

Schedule and Compensation

• Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Weekend and holiday rotation required
• Weekly pay: $2,416

Your Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document comprehensive nursing care for cardiovascular intensive care patients
• Complete full patient assessments addressing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and developmental needs
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans, including discharge planning
• Provide direct patient care and coordinate activities of the healthcare team
• Delegate and supervise licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain clinical competencies specific to cardiovascular intensive care
• Possible call and float to support units as needed

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in the state of Arizona
• BLS certification
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Acute care experience as a registered nurse within the past 12 months, preferably in the specialty area
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient care
• Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor's degree and professional certification preferred
