About this role

You will work as an Occupational Therapist in long-term care at Tide Health Group - Buffalo Prairie. This is a 91-day temporary assignment with a start date of September 14, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

  • 5x8 day shifts (days only)
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • No weekend shifts required
  • Weekly pay: $2,531

Role Responsibilities

You will screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and ADL/physical functioning disorders, then develop and implement appropriate plans of care. You will use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions, providing rehabilitative and skilled treatment including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and assistive device instruction.

You will assess patient progress regularly, adjust treatments as needed, and evaluate outcomes for effectiveness. Documentation is essential—you will maintain comprehensive records in the electronic system, accurately record treatment minutes, complete discharge summaries per regulatory requirements, and communicate patient progress to supervisors and the health team.

You will also provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers. Participation in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings is required. You may supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and students.

Qualifications

  • Current Missouri state occupational therapy license
  • Minimum 1 year of occupational therapy experience
  • Long-term care or rehabilitation experience required
  • New graduates accepted with completed Level II fieldwork experience

You will adhere to NBCOT/AOTA practice standards, state practice acts, and professional code of conduct and ethics throughout your assignment.
