Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Must have completed a travel contract within the past 24 months - no first-time travelers
• Patient care experience required in the following areas: general, gynecology, breast, abdominal, flaps, and ENT
• Heparin experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma experience preferred
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6 on days and 1:5-6 on nights
• Unit bed size of 24-26 beds
• Required to float across all campuses
• Every 3rd weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Scrub color requirement: navy blue solid tops and bottoms
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC)
• Iowa nursing license required - must reflect Active Iowa or compact/multistate license at time of submission
• Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical/Telemetry required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
• Driver's license required
• All candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address
