ED Registered Nurse Job in Watertown, NY

Samaritan Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. This 13-week travel assignment offers you the opportunity to work with a dynamic ED team in Watertown, NY.

Position Details

• Specialty: Emergency Department (ED)
• Shift: 12-hour nights, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Weekly guarantee: 36 hours
• Weekly pay: $2,704
• Assignment duration: 93 days
• Start date: September 14, 2026
• Facility type: Medical Center

Your Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting, identifying and intervening in life-threatening situations. You may be required to assume charge nurse duties, exercise strong leadership and prioritization skills, and delegate tasks effectively. You will assess patients, implement safety protocols including proper use of patient lifts, and maintain thorough documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Current New York State RN license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
• MEDITECH experience
• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
• Travel experience required
• Ability to function effectively in stressful situations with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills

Additional Requirements

• Must successfully complete lethal dysrhythmia exam during probation
• Must obtain defibrillation certification within six months of start
• Must obtain IV, medication, and phlebotomy certification during orientation
• Critical care and charge experience preferred
• Ability to work within a 100-mile radius
