ED RN Job in Rochester, NY

Rochester General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a 13-week travel contract offering competitive weekly compensation of $2,789.

Position Details

• Shift: 4x12 rotating between 11:00 AM–11:00 PM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Every other holiday availability as needed
• Patient ratio: 1:5 caring for adults and geriatric patients
• Floating within skillset required

Requirements

• Active New York Single State RN license (non-Compact)
• Minimum 1 year emergency nursing experience
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• EPIC charting experience required

Clinical Skills Required

• IV therapy including blood product administration
• Central line care and phlebotomy
• IV vasopressors and CPAP/BiPAP management
• Ventilator management and cardiac monitoring with dysrhythmia interpretation
• Emergency care for CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI
• Adult and pediatric emergency care including gunshot wounds and ortho trauma
• Isolation precautions and triage

Facility Information

You will work with specialized equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment. Scrub color policy: any combination of navy blue and white.

Candidate Requirements

You must be located more than 75 miles from the facility. Travel assignment begins September 29, 2026, for a 91-day duration.
