Emergency Department RN Job in Utica, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a travel position in the Emergency Department at MVHS Inc. in Utica, NY. This is a direct-care role where you will deliver high-acuity emergency nursing across a diverse patient population.

Position Details:

• Schedule: 3x12 evenings (12.5-hour shifts, 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM)
• Duration: 89 days
• Start date: September 21, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,575
• Travel requirement: You must live 75 miles or more from the facility. Local candidates will be considered at a local rate.

About the Department:

The 64-bed Emergency Department includes triage, acute care, super track, trauma, clinical decision unit, and psychiatric beds. You will treat patients across all age groups—newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics—managing conditions such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced environment
• Float to other units as required
• Administer critical medications including pressors, vasodilators, anti-arrhythmics, and sedation agents
• Operate specialty equipment such as Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun
• Work with EPIC electronic medical record system

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience with some pediatric experience
• Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Proficiency with drips and medications (Levophed, Neo, Epi, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Cleviprex, Cardene, NTG, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine, Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl, TNK, Heparin, Insulin)
• EPIC experience required
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred
• Travel experience required
• Navy blue scrubs
