Med Surg RN Job in Nashville, TN

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Med Surg position at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN. This is a travel assignment lasting 91 days, starting November 2, 2026.

Position Overview

You will work on a 25-bed Medical Surgical unit located on the 3rd Floor (Cost Center 610). Your schedule is 3x12 days, running 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required and flexible weekday options.

Patient Care & Unit Support

• Patient ratios of 5–6:1 on days and 6:1 on nights
• Unit secretary and 2–3 PCTs available on days; 2–3 PCTs on nights
• Float policy is PRN, typically within Medical Surgical units

Clinical Responsibilities

You will perform IV and foley catheter placement, maintain strong assessment skills, and manage IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing cabinets. Documentation occurs in Meditech. You must implement Hourly Rounding and BSSR protocols to support patient experience.

Equipment & Technology

Required experience with Sara Steady, Wound Vac, Tele Health, Virtual Sitter equipment, and remote telemetry monitoring is essential.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• BLS certification required
• NIH certification required
• CPI certification preferred
• Black or royal blue scrubs required

Compensation

Weekly pay is $1,786.
