Telemetry RN Job in Augusta, GA

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Telemetry unit. This is a 3x12 night shift position with a start date of October 26, 2026, running for 84 days. You will earn $1,916 weekly.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Charge experience required
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Georgia or Compact nursing license
• Epic charting system proficiency; experience with Pyxis and SBAR documentation

Role Responsibilities:

You will provide care to adult and geriatric patients with cardiac conditions including CHF, chest pain, dysrhythmias, post-MI status, PE/DVT, and vascular issues. Patient ratio is 1:5 across all shifts and weekends. You will manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, Cardizem, lidocaine, Bumex, and heparin.

Clinical skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line and PICC line care, chest tube management, pacemaker management, post-cardiac angiogram and post-cath care, tracheostomy care, and wound management. You will interpret and manage dysrhythmias, administer IV insulin protocols, and provide procedural sedation support. Special procedures include peritoneal dialysis.

Unit Details:

• Self-scheduling unit with no on-call requirements
• 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
• Floating to other cardiac telemetry or hospital units as needed
• 24 hours orientation provided
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract
• Holiday coverage expected based on assignment period holidays
• Navy blue scrubs required

Support Services:

You will have access to IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and pharmacy support. Equipment includes telemetry monitoring, EKG, and Doppler ultrasound.
