ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Day shift position
• 12-hour shifts in an acute care setting
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
• Minimum of 6 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Holiday requirements apply
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4
• Treat 35+ patients per day in the emergency department
• Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain
• Common drips include cardiac, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, sedation, and analgesia
• Must be proficient with ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high flow oxygen equipment
• Responsible for drawing labs alongside phlebotomy team
• May be required to float within Zone 1 if extreme need arises
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), ENPC or PALS, NIHSS, NRP, TNCC
• TNCC and NIHSS are required must-have skills
• BSN not required
• Valid Colorado nursing license required
• Must be within 60 miles of facility and driver's license must be submitted
