Opportunity:

RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with variable scheduling
• Every other weekend required, with 4 weekend shifts per month (Saturday/Sunday x2)
• Patient ratio of 1:2 maintained across days, nights, and weekends
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Must have Neuro experience with at least 1 year of Neuro ICU reflected on application
• Travel experience required
• May float to ED, Step Down Unit, or Central Monitoring Department
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Primary service lines include Level 2 Trauma ICU and Neuro/Stroke ICU
• Manage post-thrombectomy and TNK patients requiring detailed and frequent neuro checks
• Care for post-procedural and surgical trauma patients
• Perform organ procurement preparation when required
• Required certifications: CA RN License, ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• TNCC preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drain (EVD) management, ICP monitoring, hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, lumbar drain management, post neurosurgery management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, traumatic brain injury care, and ventilator management
• Special equipment includes: massive blood transfusion, EVD management and monitoring, ICP management and monitoring, post cardiac arrest cooling protocol, post thrombolytic and TNK monitoring, and Camino Bolt management and monitoring
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
