ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Block scheduling type
• Every other weekend required with 13 weekend shifts per contract
• Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• At least 2 years of ICU experience required
• Travel experience required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must be AHA or ARC)
• Valid California RN license required
• Charting system experience required
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, central venous pressure monitoring, chronic/acute renal failure management, continuous IV paralytics/neuromuscular blockade, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, emergency medications, high flow nasal cannula management, interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, phlebotomy, PICC line management, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, pulmonary edema, respiratory failure, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and transportation
