PCU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

Banner Baywood Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Mesa, Arizona. This is a 3x12 day shift position with an 89-week contract starting November 2, 2026. You will earn $2,559 weekly.

In this role, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the PCU, including:

• Conducting thorough patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Reviewing patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and caregivers
• Developing and implementing individualized plans of care in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Providing direct patient care based on physician orders and nursing standards
• Delegating appropriately and supervising licensed and non-licensed personnel
• Evaluating patient and family response to care and adjusting the plan as needed
• Documenting all assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely
• Participating in unit leadership, education, and orientation initiatives

You may float between multiple PCU locations and may have on-call responsibilities as part of a varied work schedule.

Qualifications:

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum one year experience in an acute care hospital setting
• Experience within the past 12 months as a Registered Nurse in the PCU specialty
• BLS certification required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred

You must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently. You may be required to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
