Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Days during the week will vary depending on the need of the unit; block schedule is not available
• Late stay required - travelers will take four late stays in a 13-week contract, which may extend the shift by up to an hour or more during peak periods such as summer and December
• Based in the OR Float Pool within a 1,000+ bed hospital
• 56-bed OR serving both inpatient and outpatient cases, plus 5 procedural rooms
• Level 1 trauma facility
• Must have circulating experience; scrub experience is not required
• Minimum of 2 years of OR experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Patient population is adult only; no pediatrics
• All service lines covered except cardiac, transplant, and trauma/neuro
• Case types include: neuro, trauma, general, ortho, GYN, urology, ENT, plastics, cardiothoracic, vascular, transplant (liver, renal, pancreas), robotic, hybrid rooms (cysto, bronch, and lead extraction), ambulatory ortho, burn, and hepatic-biliary
• May float between OR units but not between locations
• Time off is limited; expected to work 2 of 3 holidays
• Required certifications: BLS
• Michigan nursing license required
