RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Day shift position with flex scheduling
• Must work every other weekend and holidays as needed
• May be requested to work extra shifts to accommodate chemotherapy patients
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Chemotherapy certification required
• Required certification: BLS
• Create individualized care plans for patients under supervision and care
• Recognize and treat cancer-related issues
• Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge
• Conduct cancer research to enhance treatment protocols assigned to cancer patients
• Provide supportive resources to patients and families to promote a positive outlook
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment expectations
• Monitor and record patient progress on a consistent basis
• Chart patient responses to treatment and medication
