Job Details:

• Work independently in a Level 3 NICU setting
• Attend c-sections and high-risk deliveries, assessing newborn needs using APGAR scores
• Administer various modalities of oxygen therapy and surfactant
• Draw capillary gases and umbilical arterial catheter (UAC) blood gases
• Place initial ventilator settings for neonatal patients
• Start and navigate the oscillating ventilator as needed
• Perform neonatal resuscitation post-delivery when required
• Initiate NRP guidelines for resuscitation and determine appropriate interventions to support newborn breathing
• Perform intubation, extubation, and direct neonatal intubation
• Manage tracheostomy care, BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, and other respiratory support modalities
• Administer inhaled medications including Nitric Oxide, Flolan, and surfactant
• Interpret arterial blood gases and troubleshoot high-pressure alarms
• Support patient transport inter-departmentally as needed
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Work every other weekend
• No on-call required
• Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract
• Expected to work major holidays falling within the assignment period
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Preferred ventilator experience: Draeger
• Patient population: Neonates and Infants
• Required certifications: ACLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
