Telemetry RN Job in Augusta, GA

Piedmont Augusta Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for their 16-room Telemetry unit. This is a 63-week travel assignment beginning October 26, 2026, with a weekly pay of $1,931.

Schedule & Staffing

• 3x12 night shifts
• Every other weekend shift required; 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period
• Self-scheduling unit with no on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage required for major holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
• 24-hour orientation provided

Role Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Patient ratio of 1:4–5
• Floating to other cardiac telemetry units or other units within scope of practice as needed
• Previous charge experience preferred

Clinical Focus

You will manage adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including CHF, MI, chest pain, dysrhythmias, hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, PE/DVT, and vascular issues. You must be able to manage cardiac and vasoactive drips without titration, including milrinone, dobutamine, amiodarone, Cardizem, lidocaine, Bumex, and heparin.

Required Skills

• BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia management, central line care, chest tube management, HFNC, IV insulin protocols, pacemaker management (temporary and permanent), PICC line management, post-cath and post-cardiac surgery care, procedural sedation monitoring, tracheostomy care, and wound care
• Systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR communication
• Special equipment: telemetry monitors, EKG, Doppler
• Scrub color: Navy Blue

Support Available

The facility provides interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.
