Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• 13-week contract assignment
• Night shift schedule
• 36 or 48 hours available per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Self-scheduling model in place; manager will work to accommodate scheduling preferences but cannot guarantee desired schedule
• Work in all units of the Children's Hospital including NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
• Must have Level IV NICU experience
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Must be competent in caring for neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patient populations
• Must be competent in use of the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• Epic experience required
• Must demonstrate strong communication and critical thinking skills within a multidisciplinary team environment
• Travelers must float within scope of practice as needed
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, RRT, Virginia State License
• PALS and ACCS preferred
• Virginia license pending accepted provided temporary license can be obtained before start date; must hold another state license to be eligible for temporary license
