Opportunity:

RN - Oncology

Job Details:

• BMT Oncology unit specializing in bone marrow transplant, leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and management of complications from blood cancers such as GVHD
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for all shifts
• Average daily census of 30 with 32 beds
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required throughout the Oncology department as needed based on unit with greatest need per shift
• Treats adult patient population
• Perform autologous stem cell transplants and chemotherapy administration
• Minimum 1 year of oncology experience required
• Will accept first-time travelers
• Must pass Relias EKG exam with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias required
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, Chemo certification (ONS/ONCC)
• Required skills include: accessing and managing ports, administration of blood and blood products, administration of chemotherapy, central line blood draw, central line and implanted line care, PICC line care, starting and maintaining IVs, antibiotics, antiemetics, Foley catheter insertion and management, isolation precautions, telemetry interpretation and monitoring
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
