CT Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a CT Technologist for a 91-day travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore in Pittsburgh, PA. You will work 4 days per week on a rotating schedule that includes a mix of 12-hour and 8-hour shifts, with hours spanning 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend or every third weekend based on departmental needs.

Your Responsibilities

• Independently perform computed tomography procedures utilizing established scan protocols, including contrast administration
• Operate complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data
• Demonstrate proper technique in venipuncture and proper use of power injector according to set protocols
• Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and department policy
• Assess patients for potential risk factors prior to contrast media administration
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures
• Review patient history and assess physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols
• Document patient history in electronic health record as required
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charges are entered

Required Qualifications

• 2 years of CT technologist experience
• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program
• ARRT Certificate and Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC)
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of primary registry date or date of hire
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73 compliance
