CT Technologist Job in Mckeesport, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is hiring a CT Technologist for a 90-day travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC McKeesport in Mckeesport, PA. You will work 5 days per week on a day shift schedule, earning $3,461 per week.

About the Role

You will independently perform computed tomography procedures using established scan protocols, including contrast administration. Your responsibilities include:

• Operate complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data
• Adjust protocols and apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic CT purposes using independent judgment
• Demonstrate proper venipuncture technique and appropriate use of power injectors according to department and manufacturer protocols
• Administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and assess patients for potential risk factors prior to contrast media administration
• Communicate clearly with patients and co-workers while demonstrating caring, listening, dignity, and respect
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and utilize universal protocol when performing procedures
• Review patient history, assess physician orders, and document findings in the electronic record as required
• Ensure all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, with charges adequately entered

Requirements

• 2 years of CT technologist experience required
• Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT program required
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of primary registry acquisition or date of hire
• ARRT Certificate
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, PA Act 73
