CT Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a CT Technologist for a travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC Shadyside in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a 91-day contract beginning October 4, 2026.

Assignment Details:

• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts, days
• Weekly pay: $3,461
• Duration: 91 days

Primary Responsibilities:

• Independently perform computed tomography procedures using established scan protocols, including contrast administration
• Operate complex imaging equipment for acquisition, analysis, reconstruction, and documentation of image data
• Perform venipuncture and administer PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and departmental policy
• Assess patients for risk factors prior to contrast media administration
• Operate power injectors according to department and manufacturer protocols
• Apply prescribed ionizing radiation for diagnostic CT purposes using independent clinical judgment
• Identify all patients using two patient identifiers and follow universal protocol
• Review patient history and physician orders, applying specific departmental protocols
• Document patient information in the electronic health record as required
• Ensure proper coding, tracking, archiving, and charge entry for all exams

Required Qualifications:

• Allied Health Professional credential
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
• Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of accredited CNMT program
• ARRT Certificate
• Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of primary registry acquisition or date of hire
• Pennsylvania state requirements: Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73
