CT Technologist Job in Harrisburg, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking a CT Technologist for a 90-day travel assignment at Central – UPMC Harrisburg in Harrisburg, PA. You will work 5 days per week on nights, earning $3,401 weekly.

In this role, you will independently perform computed tomography procedures using established scan protocols, including contrast administration. You will operate complex imaging equipment to acquire, analyze, reconstruct, and document image data according to departmental standards. Your responsibilities include:

• Performing venipuncture and administering PO, rectal, and IV contrast per physician orders and department policy
• Assessing patients for potential risk factors prior to contrast media administration
• Operating power injectors according to set protocols
• Adjusting CT protocols and applying ionizing radiation appropriately for diagnostic purposes using independent judgment
• Communicating clearly with patients to explain procedures and address concerns while securing cooperation
• Identifying all patients using two identifiers and following universal protocol
• Reviewing patient history and physician orders to apply specific departmental protocols for optimal results
• Documenting patient information in the electronic health record as required
• Ensuring all exams are properly coded, tracked, networked for archiving and interpretation, and charges are accurately entered

Qualifications: You must be a graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or have completed an accredited CNMT program. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. You must hold an ARRT Certificate, Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC), and Basic Life Support (BLS). PA Act 31, 33, 34, and 73 certifications and licenses are required. Your CT registry must be acquired within 18 months of primary registry acquisition or your hire date.
