ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Day shift position
• 12-hour shifts in an Intensive Care Unit setting
• 36-bed ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• 6-9 weekend shifts required per 6-week schedule
• Holiday shifts required
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
• First to float; floating within Zone 1 if needed as determined by Nurse Manager
• Call or standby requirement determined by Nurse Manager
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• Must be able to titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized drips
• Experience with CPAP, BiPAP, high flow, and ventilator equipment required
• Common patient diagnoses include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain
• NIHSS experience required
• Intensivist in-house and respiratory therapy available 24/7
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• BSN not required
• Must be within 60 miles of facility; valid driver's license must be submitted
