ICU RN Job in Colorado Springs, CO

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is recruiting a Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment in the Intensive Care Unit at Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week at $2,300 weekly pay.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a 36-bed ICU with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2. Your responsibilities include titrating critical drips—vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic agents, and specialized medications. You will collaborate with an in-house intensivist/hospitalist team and have access to 24/7 respiratory therapy support equipped with CPAP, BiPAP, high-flow oxygen, and mechanical ventilation.

Scheduling & Flexibility

Self-scheduling and block scheduling options are available. You must meet a minimum of six weekend shifts per 6-week schedule. Holiday requirements apply. Call or standby duty and float requirements are determined by the Nurse Manager. You may float within Zone 1 as needed and will be first to float during extreme staffing shortages.

Facility Details

Penrose Hospital is a Level 2 Trauma Center. The ICU uses EPIC for charting. Scrubs are navy blue. Common patient diagnoses include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain.

Requirements

• Current RN license
• ACLS (AHA) certification
• BLS (AHA) certification
• NIHSS certification
• Valid driver's license
• Residency within 60 miles of the facility
