ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Night shift position in a 12-bed ICU with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Weekend requirements of 6-9 weekends per 6-week schedule
• Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
• Holiday requirements apply
• First to float, with potential to float within Zone 1 facilities as determined by Nurse Manager
• Call or standby requirements determined by Nurse Manager
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
• Critical care/ICU experience required
• RNs required to titrate drips including vasopressors, inotropes, sedatives, analgesics, metabolic, and specialized drips
• Work with respiratory therapy equipment including CPAP, BiPap, high flow, and ventilators
• RT support available in ICU 24/7 and Intensivist in house
• Common patient diagnoses include abdominal pain, chest pain, fever, cough, dyspnea, headache, injury, and extremity pain
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS
• BSN not required
• Must have valid Colorado nursing license submitted prior to start
