Opportunity:

RN - Orthopedics

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend (may change based on need)
• Floating required if needed to like units based on skill set
• Minimum 1 year of experience in orthopedics specialty required
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be accepted
• Must have at least 1 year of EPIC EMR experience
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Must have active Tennessee RN license or multistate license
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Teaching and community hospital experience preferred
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Patient ratio experience: 6 patients
• Patients served: Adults and Geriatrics
• Unit operates with 30 beds and a daily census of 15-20 patients
• Skills required include: blood product administration, peripheral line care and management, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, med/surg, and total joint replacement
• Skills preferred include: accessing/managing ports, bariatric surgery, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management, feeding tube care and management, ortho trauma, peripheral nerve block catheters, PICC line management, and short stay/23-hour stay unit
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
