PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 84 hours biweekly with a 72-hour guarantee
• Patient ratios of 4:1 during days and 5:1 during nights
• Float required to other PCUs
• Unit has 23 beds and serves a heavy cardiac and CVA patient population
• Must be able to manage cardiac drips including Cardene, amiodarone, Cardizem, insulin, heparin, nitroglycerin, dopamine, dobutamine, and milrinone
• Must be able to titrate cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Must demonstrate strong skills in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• Epic charting experience strongly preferred
• Must be located more than 50 miles from facility (local candidates not accepted)
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission or prior to accepting offer
