Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Job in Cartersville, GA

Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a pediatric respiratory role serving neonatal patients. This is a travel position offering a competitive weekly rate of $1,918.08 for a 12-week assignment beginning July 27, 2026.

Schedule and Expectations

• 3x12 night shifts per week
• Every other weekend coverage required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all time off must be finalized at submission
• Holiday work expected based on holidays falling within assignment dates

Requirements

• Current RRT credential (CRT not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, PALS
• Epic charting system experience required

Core Responsibilities and Skills

You will float within the facility and scope of practice as needed, providing direct respiratory care to neonatal patients. Required clinical skills include intubation assist, extubation, nasal and oral airway placement and suctioning, tracheostomy care and management, sputum specimen collection, bag and mask ventilation, ET tube management, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), oxygen tank operation, trach collar application, BiPAP and CPAP management, bubble CPAP, oscillating ventilator operation, weaning from mechanical ventilation, and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms.

This role is ideal for respiratory professionals with neonatal intensive care experience who are comfortable with a night shift schedule and ready to make an immediate impact in a busy pediatric respiratory program.
