ED RN Job in El Paso, TX

Join Las Palmas Medical Center El Paso for a 13-week contract assignment as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department. You will work the night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM on a 3x12 schedule with guaranteed hours of 36 or 48 based on facility approval.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a 26-bed emergency department with a patient ratio of 4:1. There are no on-call requirements, and you will work 4 weekend days during your assignment. This role involves a range of clinical responsibilities and procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform IV insertion, EKG placement, and Foley catheterization (in and out)
• Assist with lumbar punctures and central line placement
• Monitor patients on ventilators and cardiac equipment including EKG and Teleneuro systems
• Support moderate sedation and cardioversion procedures
• Utilize the EMR Level 3 system for documentation
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary emergency team

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) certification
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification

Preferred Qualifications

• STABLE certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification

Additional Details

You will wear cobalt or royal blue scrubs. The assignment begins October 12, 2026, and runs for 91 days. Weekly pay is $1,674. We seek a team player who is open to learning and brings a collaborative approach to patient care.
