Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36-48 hours can be offered per week
• Minimum of 4 weekend days per 6-week time track, up to every other weekend
• Floating is required between Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health based on greatest need
• Patient ratios of 1:3-5 with approximately 250 visits per day and 123 beds
• No block scheduling
• 24-hour unit orientation
• Scrubs: Navy/White
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Previous charge experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, MOAB
• Required skills: IV start, triage, telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, emergency medications, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, psychiatric hold management, suicidal patient care, acute psychosis management, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care and management, chest tube management, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG
• Unit systems: Pyxis, Epic, SBAR, and daily shift huddles
• Serves patient population including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and social services
