OR Registered Nurse Job in Charleston, WV

CAMC Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 1, 2026. This is a full-time role offering 3x12-hour day shifts (9:00 AM–9:00 PM or 11:00 AM–11:00 PM) with 36 guaranteed hours per week at $1,932 weekly.

Schedule & Call Expectations

• Every other weekend call required with a 30-minute response time
• One call day per week; 1–2 weekends per 4–5 week schedule
• Sunday through Friday nights (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) covered by staff; additional coverage needed for call-ins or scheduled time off
• Major holidays covered by call shifts for emergencies only; holiday RTO requests limited to no more than 1 of 3 major holidays

Clinical Requirements

You must have a minimum of 2 years RN experience and at least 1 year in-specialty OR experience. You will be expected to scrub and circulate across a high-acuity caseload averaging 22 daily cases. Required clinical competencies include:

• Cardiac and general surgery (CV experience is a must)
• Vein harvesting and radial artery harvesting
• Vascular procedures: AV fistulas/grafts, aortic surgeries and bypasses, femoral to popliteal and distal bypasses, carotids, embolectomies
• Orthopedic procedures: arthroscopies, total joints
• General surgery: colorectal/colon resections, laparoscopic assisted surgeries, Whipples, liver resections, thyroids, mastectomies
• ENT procedures: trachs, laryngectomies, radical neck dissections
• Urology procedures: cystectomies, nephrectomies, prostatectomies, various implants, cystoscopy-related procedures
• Robotic surgery: gynecologic, colorectal, hernias, laparoscopic Nissens
• GYN procedures: abdominal and vaginal hysterectomies, posterior and anterior repairs

Credentials & System Requirements

• Current WV or compact RN license (pending license accepted for submission)
• BLS certification required
• Proficiency with Cerner and Accudose charting systems
• Acceptable scrub colors: Royal Blue, White, or combination
