NICU RN Job in Tucson, AZ

You will provide specialized nursing care in a Level III NICU with 36 beds at BUMC Tucson, located at 1625 N Campbell Ave. This is an 89-day travel assignment starting November 2, 2026, with three 12-hour night shifts per week and weekly pay of $2,570.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to organizational policies
• Provide specialized nursing care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients
• Complete patient assessments and reassessments according to patient needs and policy requirements
• Formulate and implement care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other personnel
• Participate in unit shared leadership and educational activities
• May float to appropriate pediatric unit assignments as needed

Physical Demands and Requirements:

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, squatting, reaching, and stretching
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient transfers
• Adequate hearing, visual acuity, fine motor skills, and eye-hand coordination
• Use of standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years NICU RN experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current valid RN license in state of practice required
• BLS certification required
