NICU RN Job in Mesa, Arizona

You will provide direct patient care in Banner Desert Medical Center's NICU, working three 12-hour day shifts per week. This 89-week travel assignment begins October 5, 2026, and pays $2,559 weekly.

Your responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for neonatal patients
• Provide developmentally appropriate care tailored to each patient's physical and developmental age
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments covering physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to formulate and implement individualized care plans
• Delegate tasks appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other healthcare personnel
• Document all interventions and patient responses according to facility policy
• Participate in education, orientation, and mentoring of facility staff
• Work varied schedules including weekends and holidays as required by department needs

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Arizona or a compact state
• BLS certification
• Recent Level III or Level IV NICU experience
• Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience
• Ability to maintain clinical performance competencies through annual validations
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred

Banner Desert Medical Center is located at 1400 S Dobson Road, Mesa, Arizona. You will work in a Level III or IV neonatal intensive care environment providing specialized nursing care to critically ill newborns and their families.
