NICU RN Job in Tucson, AZ

You will work as an RN in a Level III NICU with 36 beds at BUMC Tucson. This is a travel assignment beginning November 2, 2026, for 89 days. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week, earning $2,582.10 weekly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care according to organizational policies
• Provide specialized nursing care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients
• Complete patient assessments and reassessments according to patient needs and policy requirements
• Formulate and implement care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary team members
• Delegate appropriately and provide nursing supervision to other personnel
• Document assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation in patient records
• Participate in unit shared leadership and educational activities

Requirements:

• Current RN license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of NICU RN experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• BLS certification required

Physical Demands:

You will frequently stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch. You must be able to lift up to 75 pounds and use proper body mechanics for patient transfers. The role requires adequate hearing, visual acuity, fine motor skills, and eye-hand coordination. You will use standard precautions due to exposure to blood and bodily fluids. You may float to appropriate pediatric unit assignments as needed.
