NICU RN Job in Denver, CO

Opportunity:

RN - NICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Level III NICU unit with 24 licensed beds
• Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 4:1 depending on acuity
• Work with advanced equipment including oscillators, ventilators, bubble CPAP, central lines, ABG machine, pump feeds, and telemedicine
• EMR system: Meditech (prior experience preferred)
• Perform and assist with procedures including PIV placement, medication administration, blood draws from arterial, heel, and venous sites, blood transfusions, and handoff communications
• Assist with Level 3 procedures including pneumo taps, intubations, and chest tubes
• Attend high-risk deliveries as NICU attendant
• Observe transitions in NICU setting
• Minimum 1 year of current acute care hospital NICU RN experience required
• Level III or Level IV NICU experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and NRP
• PICU experience and PALS certification preferred
• Must demonstrate friendly, approachable, and caring demeanor with strong communication skills
• Must be adaptable and respectful of unit culture
