Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a general medical/surgical floor caring for post-operative patients requiring overnight stays
• Care for patients undergoing prostatectomy, mastectomy, abdominal surgeries, thyroidectomy, and similar procedures
• Administer Heparin drips as part of patient care responsibilities
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Traveler may be asked to float within the same discipline across local campuses
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team contributing professional and clinical knowledge in the provision and management of patient care
• Winter holiday requirement: must work 2 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, New Year's Day)
• Limit of 1 day off request between 11/25-11/29 and 12/23-12/27
• EMR system: Epic experience required
• Dress code: Navy Blue
• Must be located at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license
• 2+ years of Med Surg/Tele experience required
• First-time traveler accepted
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA preferred; ARC or US Military certificates also accepted), NIHSS
• Active Iowa or compact nursing license required with Nursys verification
• Skills checklist specific to Med Surg/Tele required
• 1 supervisory reference form completed within the last two years required
• Driver's license required
