Job Details:

• Work 4x12-hour shifts per week
• Night shift schedule with variable weekend coverage required every other weekend
• Guaranteed hours vary based on shift configuration: 40 hours for 8 and 10-hour shifts in one workweek, 36 hours for 3 twelve-hour shifts in one workweek, and 48 hours for 4 twelve-hour shifts in one workweek
• Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; department cannot accommodate December 25 time-off requests
• Floating required and may include nearby sister facilities as needed
• Minimum 2 years of emergency room experience required; first-time travelers must have 2-3 years of ER experience
• Local travelers (Indiana residents) are not accepted for this position
• Patient ratio is 4:1 across days, nights, and weekends
• Charting experience in Cerner required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC
• Required skills include blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
• Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
