Emergency Room RN Job in Houston, TX

Join HCA Houston West as a Registered Nurse in our 28-bed Emergency Department. This is a 13-week travel position offering competitive pay of $2,216 weekly, working three 12-hour day shifts per week starting November 9, 2026.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting with a 1:4 patient ratio. The ED operates with a structured team that includes a charge nurse coordinator, five RNs, a triage nurse, one medic, and a unit secretary per shift. You will perform emergency procedures including intubation and central line placement, operate ventilators and Baxter IV pumps, and maintain accurate documentation in the Meditech Expanse EMR system.

Position Requirements

• Current RN license
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• PALS or ENPC certification required
• TNCC certification preferred
• Patient care experience and emergency response skills

What to Expect

You will work a rotating weekend schedule with no floating to other units. Scrubs are royal blue. This role requires flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to manage high-acuity patients in a dynamic environment.
